The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is located in Abu Dhabi and is named after its founder and first President of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It is the third largest mosque in the world with capacity for 41,000 worshippers.
The mosque was built as a monument to consolidate Islamic culture and is a prominent center for Islamic sciences.
